First season · Europe

High octane by day.Silence at dawn.

I'm a host. I design and run private days in Europe — a house, a table, someone worth listening to, and something you could not book yourself.

Who is in the room

The first question is never the address

It is who else is coming. Entrepreneurs and couples, mostly between thirty-five and fifty-five, who have already built something and would rather spend a day with four interesting people than a week with forty. Everyone in the room has been chosen, and everyone knows it — which is why nobody performs.

How it works

We keep the house.
You keep your own room.

Colibri Privé is not a travel company. I don't sell flights, I don't sell or book hotels, and I never hold a room in your name. You arrive the way you like to arrive and you sleep where you like to sleep.

What I take care of starts the moment you walk in: the house, the table, the people at it, the person worth listening to, and the hours in between. That is the part nobody can book for themselves, and it is the only part I charge for.

A house or villa is taken as a venue for the day, not as a place to stay. If you'd like, I'll tell you the two or three hotels we usually use — you book them yourself, directly.

A table laid for the morning

The shape of it

Two poles in one day, never blended

The contrast is the whole product. A day that is only fast is exhausting; a day that is only quiet is a spa. Put them in the same twenty-four hours and something else happens.

Champagne on board, in daylight
By day

High octane

Speed, taste, access, a long lunch, a table you would not have found, and an evening that runs late on purpose.

Barefoot on the grass at seven in the morning
At dawn

Silence

Water, breath, cold, bare feet on the ground before anyone is awake. Always optional, and the part people end up talking about.

The season so far

Where this has been, and what is next

Built in the open, one city at a time. The dates that have happened are below with their photographs; the one that has not happened yet is marked as such.

Place Vendôme, outside the Ritz Paris
8 August 2026

Paris to Monte-Carlo

Breakfast at the Ritz on Place Vendôme, and by the end of it we were in Monte-Carlo. One day, two cities, and a group that had met that same morning — which is the whole argument for keeping a day short and the room small.

The doors of the casino in Baden-Baden
11–13 September 2026

Frankfurt to Baden-Baden

Coffee in Frankfurt, then a train south. A casino open since 1824, where Dostoevsky lost badly and got a novel out of it. Then seven the next morning, barefoot in the park, and a whole day in water that comes up from two kilometres below the town at 68 °C. Both poles in one weekend.

Open to join 25–27 September 2026

Amsterdam

Three days, a small group, and a city that rewards walking more than planning. No photographs yet — this one has not happened.

What I run

Two things, and nothing else yet

I would rather do two things properly in the first season than publish a catalogue I cannot stand behind.

The Private Day

One day, built for you: for a single person, a couple, or a small closed group who already know each other. I take the house, set the table, bring in the one person worth listening to, and stay with it from morning until it ends.

Where this is

It is my first season

There is no closed community of sixteen to sell you yet, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. What exists is this: a way of building a day that I have tested on myself and on the people closest to me, two events I am co-hosting this autumn with a partner in Como and Monaco, and a first season that is being built in the open.

You will see the house being looked for, the plans that change, the evening that ran four hours long. In a year, having been in the first season will be the interesting thing to have been part of.

Your host

Margarita Mumford

Estonian, in England since 2005. My career was built in property, working closely with entrepreneurs, executives and international clients — which is where I learned that the interesting part of any room is who is in it.

At thirty-nine I rebuilt my own life through sport and breathing: running, yoga, surfing, tennis, bouldering, cold water. That is not a detail about me, it is why the days are built with two poles instead of one.

This autumn I am co-hosting two events with a partner — Como in October and Monaco later that month. Colibri Privé is my own, and this is my first season running it.

Come for the day, leave with the people.
