I'm a host. Colibri Privé is a private club for people who are building something — founders, investors, people with a serious project and a network to match. We meet in one European city at a time: a house, a table, and the kind of introduction that is hard to get any other way.

Why the club exists

The days are the way in. The people are the point.

Yes, there is a long lunch, a fast car and a cold swim at seven in the morning. But that is not why anyone joins. Large projects are rarely finished alone — they move through people who trust each other, and trust is built faster over one shared day than across a year of meetings.

Bring the project

Members come with something real: a company to grow, a development to fund, a market to enter. The club is where you can say it out loud to people who are able to help.

Use the whole network

Everyone arrives with their own connections — property, finance, law, hospitality, sport, family offices. One member's open question is often another member's phone call.

Meet capital properly

People with projects and people who back projects, in the same house, with no pitch decks and no stage. Introductions are made one to one, and only when both sides want them.

Keep the fun

The days are still the days: speed, taste, access, and silence at dawn. Nobody opens up to a stranger in a conference room. They do at the end of a long lunch.

Colibri Privé makes introductions, not investments. It gives no financial advice, arranges no deals and never holds members' money. Every member decides for themselves, with their own advisers.

Who is in the room

The first question is never the address

It is who else is coming. Entrepreneurs and couples, mostly between thirty-five and fifty-five, who have already built something and are usually building the next thing. They would rather spend a day with four interesting people than a week with forty. Everyone in the room has been chosen, and everyone knows it — which is why nobody performs.

How it works

We keep the house.
You keep your own room.

Colibri Privé is not a travel company. I don't sell flights, I don't sell or book hotels, and I never hold a room in your name. You arrive the way you like to arrive and you sleep where you like to sleep.

What I take care of starts the moment you walk in: the house, the table, the people at it, the person worth listening to, and the hours in between. That is the part nobody can book for themselves, and it is the only part I charge for.

A house or villa is taken as a venue for the day, not as a place to stay. If you'd like, I'll tell you the two or three hotels we usually use — you book them yourself, directly.

The contrast is the whole product. A day that is only fast is exhausting; a day that is only quiet is a spa. Put them in the same twenty-four hours and something else happens.

Paris to Monte-Carlo

Breakfast at the Ritz on Place Vendôme, and by the end of it we were in Monte-Carlo. One day, two cities, and a group that had met that same morning — which is the whole argument for keeping a day short and the room small.

11–13 September 2026

Frankfurt to Baden-Baden

Coffee in Frankfurt, then a train south. A casino open since 1824, where Dostoevsky lost badly and got a novel out of it. Then seven the next morning, barefoot in the park, and a whole day in water that comes up from two kilometres below the town at 68 °C. Both poles in one weekend.

Amsterdam

Our third visit to Zuiver, a wellness centre in Amsterdam. This season we are going through Europe looking for the few places good enough to hold a day for the people in this circle — because health is the first kind of wealth, and the only one you cannot buy back.

Bella came with us. She has spent years in women's health, working with women at every age, and she is writing a book and building a community around it. Between a gallery where the paintings still leaned against the walls and a long lunch among the palms, we worked out how her group should run.

The Private Day

One day, built for you: for a single person, a couple, or a small closed group who already know each other. I take the house, set the table, bring in the one person worth listening to, and stay with it from morning until it ends.

Eight to sixteen people, one city, one house, several days. Everyone arrives on their own and stays in their own hotel; the house runs from morning until night. The first one opens in spring 2027 and only the waiting list exists today.

The circle

A closed circle, joined by conversation only

Every member joins after a conversation with me, and that is how it stays. The club is kept small on purpose: in a room where everyone has been chosen, people say what they actually need — and someone at the table usually knows how to help.

Between the days there is the members' circle online and live sessions. The days themselves happen one European city at a time: Paris, Baden-Baden, Amsterdam, and this autumn Como and Monaco, which I am co-hosting with a partner.

Margarita Mumford

Estonian, in England since 2005. My career was built in property, working closely with entrepreneurs, executives and international clients — which is where I learned that the interesting part of any room is who is in it, and that the biggest projects are rarely done by one person.

At thirty-nine I rebuilt my own life through sport and breathing: running, yoga, surfing, tennis, bouldering, cold water. That is not a detail about me, it is why the days are built with two poles instead of one.

This autumn I am co-hosting two events with a partner — Como in October and Monaco later that month. Colibri Privé is my own.
